A LITTLE ABOUT US
Visitors to the Sports Hall of Fame are invited to use the kiosk where they will see all individuals inducted to the Prince Albert Sports Hall of Fame, other local Sports Halls of Fame across Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame.
Nominations & Recognition
Nominations may be made by an individual, club or association and must be signed by the nominator. Nominations are due in November of each year.
Nominations should outline as much factual information as possible, giving details of the accomplishments of the nominees. Where possible, the claimed details of the accomplishments or service record should be supported by documentary evidence.
Nominations will be reviewed by a special Nomination Review Committee. If the nomination does not meet the required criteria, the nominator will be notified. If the nomination is accepted but not chosen for induction that particular year, the nominator will be notified and the file reviewed the following year.
All files are the property of the Hall of Fame and will be kept for historical purposes unless the nomination is not accepted. Nominations are kept on file for three (3) years and if not accepted, will be returned to the nominator.
Since 1988, 15 inductions have occurred, with 78 individuals and 20 teams inducted in the four categories:
- Meritorious Service to Sport Team
Nominations are accepted all throughout the year by completion of a nomination form. To obtain a nomination package, contact the City of Prince Albert’s Community Services Department, telephone number 953-4800.
To view the citations, portraits, or team pictures of the past inductees, visit the Art Hauser Centre.
